Sometimes It’s Not The Fans !
The match between Leeds United and Bolton Wanderers took an interesting twist over the weekend when during a bit of a melee following a foul tackle and heightened conversations between both sets of players and management.
One Leeds United player Mateusz Klich took it upon himself to squirt water at a Bolton player during what was described as a “brawl” at Elland Road Stadium.
If you look at the footage from Sky, Leeds United fans close to the dugouts showed remarkable restraint at what was unfolding before their eyes, especially as they are fiercely supportive and protective of their team.
It highlights the kind of unexpected issues we find ourselves in if there is a moment of madness from our players. We often say we should “expect the unexpected” but I wonder what price we would put on this?
