LOCOG has been rocked by allegations made in the Daily Mail by the daughter of a Government Minister of improper training of stewards for the London Olympics.

Claudia Blunt, daughter of Prisons Minister Crispin Blunt, claims to have been recruited by the Oxfordshire based company Tungsten SIA, given the answers to exam questions and was then, with others, allowed to begin work at Earls Court which is due to stage sixteen Olympic volleyball events.

The allagations highlight the importance that football clubs and FSOA members in particular place on checking training credentials of all staff including those subcontracted from stewarding agencies. The FSOA would also add that the company, together with one from which it is thought to have been subcontracted are members of our Association.
