And We Think We’ve Got Problems!

Those of you whose Clubs get involved in UEFA matches will know that 24 hours ahead of a match there is a light training session for the visiting team which doubles up as a press conference. Other among us regularly manage “open Training Sessions” when our team have a kind of “open day” for the faithful fans.

 

   Imagine 50,000 people turning up all at once and the atmosphere is just as passionate as a match day. I picked this up from Reuters and it concerns the Copa Libertadores Final in South America between Boca Juniors and River Plate and what happened when Boca decided to have an open training session ahead of the match! And at a football stadium called “La Bombonera”. Despite the spelling it actually means “sweet-shop”.
